Professional Sewing

PROFESSIONAL SEWING

Duration: 4 terms (33 hours per session)
Pre-requisite: Basic knowledge of Sewing

This program teaches professional techniques with a European touch in garment construction.

The student will learn how to properly do fittings; rectification and modifications to patterns for all types and styles of garments keeping in mind enhancement of the figure; preparation and cutting of fabrics; pressing methods. Most sewing techniques will be taught in three different levels: Haute Couture, Couture and Ready-to-Wear. The student will master each technique and will choose which will be used in their garments.

Many techniques have been developed and are exclusive to Richard Robinson and are included in the program. The finishing techniques produce garments as beautiful inside as outside.
